About Me

I'm terrible at these little About Me things. Every time I create a new profile on any site, I sit there and stare at the blinking cursor, trying to figure out what to write. I'm kind of terrible at describing myself, because in all honesty, I'm kind of boring, haha.

So, I'm going to try something a little different for this one. It's going to be list form, whatever comes to mind. Yay stream of consciousness getting-to-know-you stuff!

~My name is Danielle (duh).

~I am a geek. No, really. Have been from the day I was born. It's taken me a while to learn to appreciate my geekiness, but now I take great pride in it.

~Besides writing, I enjoy reading, hanging out on Twitter/Facebook, and watching television. My idea of a perfect afternoon with friends is getting together at someone's house, eating junk food, and watching a movie.

~I also like to do puzzles. For a long time, Penny Press got a good chunk of my paycheck, because I was constantly buying their variety puzzle books.

~I work in an environmental laboratory, which means I get paid to be a science geek. Not gonna lie, it's kind of awesome.

~I love ice cream. Like, to the point that I need some kind of twelve-step program.

~I live with a five-year-old fluffy black cat named Cinnamon. She shed like nobody's business and she's crazy and I adore her.

~I sing along with the radio at work and in my car at the top of my lungs, but I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket if it was handed to me.

~My favorite movie is Titanic. I was totally one of those squealing girls who saw it a zillion times in the movie theater (or, you know, five. Either way). I want a Jack Dawson and really don't think it's too much to ask for a guy to change my life in three days and save me from a maritime disaster, hee.

~I like to go for walks, but I can't walk on a track. Even with music, I get bored. So I frequently spend more time driving around trying to find someplace to go for a walk than I actually do walking!

~Reading makes me want to write even more than normal. And going into a bookstore? Forget it. All it does is kickstart my "OMG I NEED TO WRITE" urge all the more.

~I have a blank book addiction. No, really. I need some kind of twelve-step program.
